 "The summer months means beach vacations, poolside relaxation, and a plethora of outdoor activities. But while you’re enjoying your fun in the sun, make sure you’re protecting yourself against one of the most common types of cancer: skin cancer. We’ve rounded up some ways to reduce your risk - and how to check for it.

The number one rule is to always wear sunscreen. With varying kinds and SPFs on the market, it’s important to do your own research and see which one is best for you. Make sure to find one that has broad-spectrum protection, meaning both UVA and UVB coverage. (If you’re still unsure, consult your physician.)
